Bea's Desk

Brenda joined Cru staff in 1987 and has served in various capacities in the Campus Ministry. Currently, she serves with Lifelines—the experiential, adventure-based network of Cru: lifelinesoutdoors.com.

Throughout the years of ministry, the one common thread has been the Gospel and serving people food! Serving family and friends, Bible studies, outreaches, staff development retreats, Fall Getaways, and backcountry guide schools—from Brenda’s kitchen, out of an RV, and in the outdoors—God has used the simple, yet profound principle that feeding people well can communicate the abundance and generosity of the Gospel.

Kitchen Field Guide

My hope and heart for this Kitchen Field Guide (KFG) is that as we go about the ordinary tasks required to feed ourselves, our minds and hearts will make space to pray and practice connection with God and others.

If you are Cru staff, here is an article you have access to (sorry, security limitations).

The article features more about my philosophy and some broader resources.
